Sweet Tooth

I don’t know about you, but when the warm weather hits all I crave is ice cream and sweets. Which is very unfortunate for the summer bod, but when it tastes that good on the lips, it’s justifiable. Beware: the content below will have you running out the door to snag your favorite treat. The OKC Metro has all kind of goodies to fix your sweet tooth, and I am sharing my favorites from each place. Do you have an Oklahoma City sweet tooth?

Pie Junkie

Pie Junkie is the hotspot when you are craving a homemade pie but either are too lazy to make it, or only want a slice. The recipes value a traditional concept and are to ensure you feel as if you are eating your grandmothers pie. They offer whole pies, pie by the slice, quiche, and even whoopie pies. Flavors are constantly changing, but you definitely will not want to miss out on the coconut cream pie, it is a personal favorite!

Esca Vitae

Esca Vitae is Midtowns newest bakery. It is one of kind, offering gourmet cheeses, sandwiches, breads, and my favorite the pastry and desserts. It is the perfect location to hangout over delicious food and coffee. The owner has studied culinary all over the world bringing a different taste to OKC. The pies they have to offer are change as well, but you cannot go wrong. My favorite is pastry is the cinnamon twist. Dipped in a fresh coffee, you can’t beat it!

Green Goodies

As sweet as it looks, Green Goodies is the place to go for a good, classic cupcake. The icing is so addicting and light, you will want to ask for a cup of it yourself. Always fresh and moist, Green Goodies is my favorite midday stop for a quick pick me up. The chic location is also great for catching up with girlfriends over lunch and finishing it off with their red velvet cupcake.
