INTERPRET THIS LOOK: FRAME AND GO

INTERPRET THIS LOOK: FRAME AND GO

Dear Fashionistas,

Wallpaper. A big commitment, right?  For those of you who don’t like to commit to wallpaper but love the selection of pattern … here is the perfect solution for fabulous home decor! Framed wallpaper.  It’s a great way to give your home or office an extra splash of color on your interior walls that otherwise can become boring. White walls are clean and nice, however if you add framed fabric or wallpaper, you will add instant character to any room.  If you have done this, take a photograph and send it to me at NoseyParkerOKC@yahoo.com.

I love wallpaper, yet paint is so much easier and less of a commitment.  However, there are so many fashionable patterns.  When I go to a home that has jumped on the commitment train, I’m jealous.  I touch the paper and can’t stop staring at it – sort of like a woman with flawless makeup. I’ve been to many home shows and flipped through home decor magazines, ripping out the page to “save” just in case I want to put huge hyndrangea wallpaper in my room.
Here is the solution ladies.  Frame it.  Yes, I know many places make you buy the entire roll, but if you go to the sale bend or purchase one roll for a large framed wall, it is less than you’d spend buying many rolls and all the necessities to hang it.  I love these two pictures to the right.  The beautiful bird fabric on the sofa, complimented by pops of framed flowers on the wall, is such a focal point in this room.  This is also a great way to switch out the look in your children’s rooms as they grow.
The second picture uses larger pieces of the same print, framed with painted pieces of molding.  So simple, yet beautiful and stunning.

To look through sample books of fabrics and wallpapers, you can sit and enjoy a cup of coffee while admiring gorgeous choices at Cunninghams, 1st Dibs, Winter House and Heenan’s.
