Coffee. Ever since we Americans tossed that ‘tea’ in Boston, coffee has been our preferred drink. Some people can’t even start their day without it! Lucky for us all, coffee has evolved and is still evolving. We have been introduced to different regions around the globe for distinctive flavors and have adapted processes to make the cappuccino and latte. We have even wholly embraced our coffee chilled. But during this period, the best thing that is happening, is the coffee house. Just like the six friends who met daily at Central Perk, the neighborhood coffee house is the place for meet ups and CONVERSATION. We all know Ross, Rachel, and the gang had their choice, but they chose the Central Perk because it was better. Better coffee, a better experience. Well, like those ‘Friends’ we have fabulous coffee house choices here in the metro. Let me introduce you to the best places to meet for coffee in OKC .
Details matter, especially with the preparation at Elemental Coffee in Downtown OKC. You can enjoy your coffee indoors or on their patio.
Also downtown, is Clarity Coffee and you never know who you might run into.
The newest addition to downtown spots is Okay Yeah Coffee & Eatery located in The Plant Shoppe. They live by their slogan and bring cheers to the community.
The original place downtown for coffee though, is Coffee Slingers, where they know A LOT about the coffee they are brewing, including personally knowing the producers!
Located in a refurbished home, right outside of Uptown, Cuppies and Joe set the trend of delicious baked goods with coffee in OKC.
Also located close to Uptown and in a refurbished house, The Red Cup has combined vegetarian food choices with their coffee. Quaint and roomy inside…but coffee al fresco doesn’t get any better than at this place, with an outside garden area.
Midtown has welcomed its newest neighbor, Hank’s Coffee and Wine, inspired by the owners’ longtime pet, Hank. They even hand out dog treats in his honor. And yes, you read that right, wine…a reason to return later in the day.
